Helping Blue Strawberry create an event fit for a King

Discover how luxury event and catering company Blue Strawberry transformed their menu showcase into an immersive royal experience and how Off to Work staff helped bring the event to life.
The launch of Blue Strawberry's Spring Summer 2023 menu was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate their ability to create unique and memorable experiences.
Inspired by the coronation of King Charles III, the brief was simple: create an event befitting a King.

Arriving at the Edwardian venue, guests were greeted by a stunning floral arrangement from florists Pinstripes & Peonies in the shape of a peacock.
Moving into the tearoom, “ringing for tea” prompted tea-themed cocktails delivered by Off to Work team members.
After sipping on Nyetimber’s limited edition Kings Coronation classic cuvee, it was time for a photo opportunity on a Union Jack throne.
Next it was time to move through into an indoor replica of the famous gardens at Highgrove, King Charles’ private residence. Pinstripes & Peonies collaborated with production company Wise to create this immersive environment.

Guests enjoyed mouth-watering canapes created by the Blue Strawberry culinary team. On the menu was a vegan avocado and spring cabbage terrine, and an Enoki mushroom tempura with yuzu mayonnaise.
Off to Work wait staff ensured no guest was left hungry and also delivered refreshing British Summertime themed drinks.
In fitting with King Charles’ interest in sustainability and the environment, the event was an opportunity to display innovative new techniques in sustainable catering.
A highlight was "All the Trimmings" - a zero-waste canapé created with off-cuts from each of the dinner dishes.
To elevate the experience, there was a tipsy fountain and bubble volcano provided by Lick Me I’m Delicious, and entertainment by Sternberg Clarke.
After speeches from the Blue Strawberry team, it was time for dinner.

Guests indulged in three mains from the Spring Summer 2023 menu collection, including a roast fillet of ex-dairy cow sourced from women-owned butchery Alternative Meats, a baked halibut on barbecue leeks with a chive and Riesling sauce, and a vegan celeriac tagliatelle.
After trying the mains, each paired with a wine from Jeroboams, it was back to the Throne room for indulgent dessert canapes inspired by the crown jewels.
The showcase event was a clear demonstration of Blue Strawberry's commitment to excellence and innovation in food development.
The new Spring Summer 2023 menu collection is a testament to the company's continued leadership in the industry, as it showcases unparalleled fine dining menus for clients in London and beyond.
At an event of this calibre, it’s imperative that every element runs as planned.
To facilitate this, Off to Work provided a Catering Manager to assist the Blue Strawberry event management team along with wait staff and cloakroom assistants.
Our brief was simple: provide a skilled team of hospitality professionals, who would be true ambassadors for the Blue Strawberry brand.

Our staffing team selected a list of team members with experience working at Blue Strawberry events. This ensured that they were familiar with the level of service expected by VVIP clients.
For example, we selected a catering manager who had previously worked over 200 shifts with the client.
We were able to fulfil the booking in ample time due to our Client Hero function. This allows team members from Blue Strawberry’s “hero” list able to book themselves in for work.
Kate Ranaboldo, Head of Events at Off to Work and account manager assigned to Blue Strawberry, reviewed the list to ensure the team was the right fit for this event, and personally assisted with the signing in of the team on the day.
The event was a success, and Blue Strawberry was pleased with the service provided by Off to Work.
Our team was professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, going above and beyond to ensure that the guests had a memorable experience.
